Peter knew he was "kept" by God. Each of you are "kept" people. Kept in any situation you are in. For Peter... Kept in prison. Acts 12:5 Meanwhile, his friends, hiding in houses, prayed in secret, in groups, relentlessly. Waxing and waning in prayer. Time was about to run out for Peter. Time for their prayers sifted through the hour glass. The very same night Herod was to seize him and those prayers sent up remained still unanswered. "And when Herod would have brought him forth" God moved. He kept his disciples waiting long for this. What about you and me? Is He keeping us waiting? Do we deserve better treatment than the church of God? Rescued from the clutches of a man's hand. Acts 12:11 And Peter knew it was God. "Such, however, is the law of God's procedure." Deut 32:36 The Lord will vindicate and relent concerning his servants when He sees their strength is gone. May every person who reads these thoughts, especially those whose strength is gone, may you know deep inside that you are kept even in this.
