Father, the town is disrupted by disputes. The proconsul is called on to settle the disputes. Even the town clerk's reasoning shows that the Gospel aligns with the Roman law. It is no disruptor of order. And we all know the scene too well in our own hearts. Reasoning flies out the window. Father, disrupt our lives for good. Make us keepers of the truth.

The Holy Spirit is on all of us who believe. We must trust Him. Trust Truth. Not experience nor better versions nor even the blessings of this life. Trust Him. It is the power of the Holy Spirit within that is greater than anything we face; greater than any suffering; greater than any fall into sin.
