“See!” he said to all the people. “This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.” Joshua 24:27. The last words of Joshua---do not follow foreign gods. Even the rocks have heard your testimony. Joshua's face was set like a flint determined to guide the people to the Captain of their Soul and no other.
"When you have crossed the Jordan into the land the Lord your God is giving you, set up some large stones and coat them with plaster. Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey. Build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones." Deut 27:3 So, what does these verses mean? What are all those verses written to us for? Our deep calling. Our deep encouragement.
