He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over. 2 Kings 2:14
I'm beside myself with the evening Christian news. Woe and behold if you focus on "sin." People seem to want entertainment more than holy living. May we focus on what is true and right and holy.
As we strike the waters to walk on dry land, may we call upon the Sovereign, the One Who sustains and carries us, even to our old age. I won't see these two oldest as mature adults in this world. But I can pray for them this very day that they find the God of Elijah. May the cloak fall on them as they read this.
PHOTO: The dearest things to me. The oldest grandson and granddaughter. Oh, Sovereign Lord, draw them close to you this day. He fell on me and He will do the same for you.
