Deut 19:9 and 20:4 --- the takeaway from these verses. God will purge the evil from our lives, our midst. That's not my job. What I am to be about is this: "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and walk ever in His Ways." Deut 19:9. Oh! And do not panic! It is the LORD your God Who goes with you to fight for you.
“When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. And when you draw near to battle. Let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’ Deut 20:4. Whether the enemies of our soul loom powerful and plenty; whether our very own weaknesses dance daunting and depressing; make no mistake here, our LORD God will fight for us. Where am I not believing this to be true in my life today?
PHOTO: It's one of my favorite spots on earth. Clear Lake overlooking Mount Rainier. And my heart h.e.r.e. overflows today as I bid my spot farewell and Turn Around to face some problems that I cannot articulate. Overflowing with gratitude for I am more persuaded, more convinced, more oh-so-sure, that my God is fighting for me in Untold Unseen Ways.
