for as much as I know. They have been so good to me.

I've so wanted you all to live your adult lives unhindered by the parentals.
I just hoped it would not be so untethered.
The distance grips me so much.
I've struggled deeply daily to see you all.
Beyond grateful for all you have done to reach out to me.
That I may know you as adults totally independent, totally free, totally alive.
I just want to be in your presence, want to be with you and yours. Call any time. 
I don't want to live demanding you respond a certain way to meet my needs.

I remember George H. Bush saying in an interview as he sat on his Nantucket deck watching the waters drift by: No one has been here in a few months. Come as soon as you can.
Even presidents want a visit.
