"The God Who Sees is Enough on Earth" - Genesis 16-17, Matthew 5:27-48

Antique words written for this very day.
What outward/inward evils do we face in 2021? We know we are in a global health crisis.                    There's a shield ready and round about.                                                                                                         Never assured of full exemption.  Always assured of full redemption.                                                      Assured of a providential hand turning the watercourses of our day.

Don't be afraid.  I AM your Reward. Genesis 15:1
God caused Abraham to fall into a deep sleep to reassure the immigrant.
Imagine being an immigrant then and today.
So many things to fear.  Yet...
If we love and trust our God,
it is Enough on this earth.
it is Everything in heaven.

I remember 11/16/1970. I walked into the Catholic Church on the LSU campus because I was so torn over what was true.  Campus Crusade (CRU today) had been sharing with me about becoming a Christian.  How could they say the doctrine I believed was wrong---at least, that's what I felt like they were saying.  It's like you are climbing the ladder to heaven and you get to the top only to discover you were on the wrong ladder.  So, how do you know what is really the truth?  Twelve years at a parochial school christened me deeply in their doctrine.  What in the world is the priesthood of the believer?  Wait! You mean, I have direct access to God without the mediation of a priest.  Well, that's something! So, I started seriously searching for Truth.

Beyond words that God reassured this wanderer and
in the absence of what I thought life would be for us all, I found Him.

He is Enough on earth.

He is Everything in heaven.

And the God of Hagaar sees my wilderness, The God Who is Enough on earth.
