August 22 "Providence" Jeremiah 35-37

The king threw Jeremiah in prison.  Jeremiah's God set up a place for him to live and his meal plan for the rest of his life.  All because Jeremiah took care of the Word of God.  And he did so with boldness as a man on a mission from God.  But when he asked for a safe haven to live, he did so with humility and submission.  If I perish, I perish.

"King Zedekiah then gave orders for Jeremiah to be placed in the courtyard of the guard and given a loaf of bread from the street of the bakers each day until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard.  Jer 37:21.

He delivered the Word of God boldly; He requested the prison guard slowly.  No demands here.  Matthew Henry wrote:  "A lion in God's cause must be a lamb in his own."

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE ME IN MY 10,000 MOMENTS.  May I be bold for you and surrendered for me.  This present situation where I sit.  With all respect, dignity, and submission, I lay it before You for You to find the bakers in my life to feed me for the rest of my days.
