January 2 "Faces Fall" Genesis 4-7

Boys born for the first time on earth.
They struggled immensely, just like we do.
Jealousy.  Murder in their hearts. Gen 4:9.
Why was Cain mad at his brother and not himself?

"Why has the expression of your face fallen?...
Sin crouches at the door, its desire is for you,
but you are to rule over it."  Gen 4:6-7.
Then it happened: "At that time, men began to call on Yahweh's Name." Gen 4:26

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE US IN ONE OF OUR TEN THOUSAND LITTLE MOMENTS,
May we not miss the circumstance when our faces fall.  Sin is at our door.  Uh. Oh. My face just fell. And I meet this moment.  Why do I think things have to happen a certain way?  May we be concerned more with doing life rightly today than any off treatment.  We call Your Name for wisdom.

PHOTO:  The boys tilled the land.  Grew their crops.  Neglected their falling faces.  May we more than yesterday be aware of what changes the complexion of our lives.
