318 - "Don't Fear the Frowns" Galatians 1-3

"Am I NOW seeking the favor of men,
or of God?"
Or, am I striving to please men. Gal 1:10.

My ambition must be
to make known This Gospel of Grace
that is not according to man.

These verses are all about God, not man.
Preaching the Gospel to bring people to
The obedience, not of men, but of God.

Do not be confounded by the people's faces,
no fears of the frowns of men; no curryfavoring.
This is fresh revelation from the mouth of God.

It is not all this learning that leads us to Christ.
We can search endlessly
It is the very breath of God on us all.

Galatians 1:6 - They turned to a different Gospel.
I wonder if we turn without even being aware that we are following a gospel written by man.  This Gospel is written not by human hearts but by the will of God.  This Gospel.

Sorrow and surprise both at what Paul sees.  So quickly.  They turned.
Amnesiacs.
I’m right out of surgery.  Have a little anesthesia left in me.
But, I’m tethered to the true Gospel.  Forever.
Whatever sin or suffering or dilemma or distress comes my way.
To Whom else shall we go?
It is the One True Gospel of God.
And I will not walk away.
