"Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring."
Proverbs 27:1
We can prepare for tomorrow,
we just cannot presume upon God and his moving.
This string of pearls reads me, counsels me.
I've never gotten over Psalm 119:24:
Your Word is my Counselor.
Things like.
Proverbs 28:1
"The wicked flee when no one pursues,
but the righteous are bold as a lion."
Be Bold in what you face.
So, Fight.
Fight for your husbands & wives, brothers & sisters, sons & daughter.
Nehemiah 4:14
Remember His Goodness and Greatness. And Fight.
These words read me and give me direction for my today, my tomorrows.
They are just beautiful and breathed centuries ago for this very day.
So trust in the Lord today, and be safe.
I wonder what that really means for me today to trust God and not men?
COME BOLDLY: Timeless Prayers
Dear Father, Here lies counsel on how not to live the life of a fool.
Here lies the aloneness of the Christian life for others sometimes do not want what we have to give like rebuke which is better than hidden love. Sometimes they do not want my presence. But under these starlit beautiful skies, You always do. You want us more than what we can manage to do. May we trust and bring You Glory this day, always.
PHOTO: Quarries Lake. From the very first break of dawn's light to the starry sky night, may we remember You O God and fight for what is right in our own souls and for those we love. May we not presume on tomorrow but may we prepare to live this day.
Wisdom that has stood the test of time. So powerful and satisfying to reflect on and acknowledge our Hope, our Source of all that has meaning, anything worth our time, and the richness of that life.
