April 30 "God Knows My Frame" Psalm 102-104

Saul's body is hung on a fence left to dry.  David hears the news. It's official.  He will be the king.  And David blesses the name of the LORD.  Who forgives all his sin; who heals all his diseases; who redeems his life from the pit; who crowns with steadfast love & mercy; who satisfies with good.  Psalm 103:3-5.  Amazed how David grieves the death of this foe and will not speak against him.  May we learn deep thoughts from David's way of handling rejection and abuse.  David never added one thing to his list of being happy---it was only about God.  "If you add anything to Jesus as a requirement for being happy, that's your real king." Tim Keller

For our God knows our frame.  We are right where he has placed us.  Don't move until He says so.  And that is the most encouraging word to me today.  Smack dab in the middle of my mess.  He knows.  Psalm 103:114

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Bless the LORD, O my soul!  And all that is within me.  Bless Your Holy Name!
It does not matter where I sit this day.  As far as the east is from the west,
that's how far you have removed my transgressions from me.  Psalm 103:12.  I came to this passage thinking about my sin of envy.  I leave this passage knowing that it has been removed.  And I cannot thank You enough.

  1. Our strength is in our joy. Where do we find joy? In the Lord or in things of the earth? David's example is one we need to follow.
