Come Boldly: Timeless Daily Encouragements on Prayer

Hi, Pearls. This is Annette. Bev asked me to post a little on here about Come Boldly.  We are reading through the Bible chronologically this year, adding devotions from Come Boldly: Timeless Daily Encouragements on Prayer that with go with our week's Scripture readings.

Here are some timely readings from our devotional this week:

Numbers 1-16
p.104; p. 282; p. 179

God's guidance p.84,122
How to ascertain God's Will (George Mueller) P.176

Wilderness Wandering ~where a three day's journey can last forty years

Faith looks ahead with courage; unbelief looks back with complaint.
Faith unites the people of God; unbelief looks for someone to blame.

Leave a comment about where God is working on you in your prayer life this week. Are you looking ahead in faith, looking to God for the next step, or are you looking back?

Lord, give us that kind of faith like Joshua and Caleb to see You not the giants before us...to look ahead with expectancy and trust...to walk by faith and not by sight. Help us to empty ourselves of entitlement or complaint, or unbelief that we might partake of more of You. Thank You for the power of prayer and its impact on our lives and in this world. In Jesus we pray. Amen.

Join us as we seek God's Voice through the Scriptures and through prayer in 2014!
