February 4 "Bread and Water for the Hungry" Exodus 16-18

Exodus 16:15 "What is it?" They rose early to find out. You see, they had been complaining that it would have been better for God to just kill them with one of those plagues. How quickly they turn from a miraculous walk on an ocean floor to another depth---the depths of despair. Sleep quietly my friend, for round drops like pearls will rain down every morning for the next 40 years to provide your need for food. Work quietly my friend, for it is God Who has provided in this way for you. Exodus 16:15 - this is the bread that the LORD has given you to eat. Camp quietly my friend, for your failures this day are intended to draw you into the very Presence of your God.

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Father, give us this day our daily bread, our manna.  Give us the courage to put words and action to live in our deepest hunger not for food but for You, the Living Bread of Life.  Redeem us way down deep, the truth that You are Holy and still desire to live with us, just like with these Israelites in their sin.  We come boldly and broken and beautiful because of You.

  1. Lord, as You delivered the Hebrews from Egypt, You have delivered me. May I ever know I am in the Promised Land and never want to return to Egypt.

Lord please bless my Pearl Sisters this day.

  2. “At evening you shall know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, 7 and in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord."

May we know Who it is that delivers us each day, the One Who provides for every need and be thankful each evening. And may our eyes be opened to see His Glory each morning.

My laptop computer shattered on the plane ride Thursday, so I am without a keyboard. Right now, I am in the car dealership using their complimentary laptop. I have an iPad but really appreciate a keyboard! All to say if I'm brief or non-responsive, no worries. I'll be baaaack. Love you guys! Blessed day filled with His Glory!!
