The sun sets in Dallas and
All I have to do is take a good deep look at what I give myself to each day.
My goals reveal what masters me. My plans divulge what I really believe about life.
Things may be lawful but are they really helpful?
Am I mastered by what I give myself to each day? I Cor 6:12.
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you,

May I live this day and always mastered by nothing save the Gospel of Grace.

You are our Master.
I have nothing good apart from You.
"For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."
ReplyDeleteSome of the people of Corinth needed to clean up their act. They were going around claiming to serve God but were ruled by their incestuous hearts. Just a little sin ruins the whole bunch. And what's worse, their arrogance about it was disgusting.
I've been praying for purity lately. I want to see God. When my heart abounds with malice and wickedness, I cannot experience Him in His fullness. Sincerity and truth are the trademarks of a heart that has dealt with the old sin problem, and this is the heart that sees God.
"Blessed are the pure in heart. For they shall see God." Matthew 5:8
