The Providence of God.
Paul found a ship sailing . . .The Providence of God.
Paul found followers of God in Tyre . . .
The Providence of God.
Paul found the time to slip to his knees to pray goodbye . . .
The Providence of God.
Acts 21:2-7
The Providence of God showed up in my life this day through a simple question asked weeks ago. And I trembled. I wept white-hot tears right out in public, in front of a few hundred. "The will of the LORD be done." Acts 21:14.
What Providential Hand is on our lives that we can explain only in terms of: God! Paul says in Acts 21 that he was prepared to suffer. In this world, you will have tribulations. He wrote: "I am ready not be be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." Acts 21:13.
66 LL says it this way: "You are not alive in this world in order to experience Me or to enjoy the blessings of a comfortable life. If that were My Purpose, I'd have brought you into My Presence in heaven the moment you were forgiven and adopted into My family. Your purpose till you die is to reveal a new attitude toward suffering and a new agenda in prayer that flows out of your new purpose in life that makes sense only if you claim your new hope of resurrection."
Oh, the Providential Hand of God,
allowing suffering,
answering prayer,
adopted!
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
In Psalm 105:24, You say that "You spread a cloud for a covering and a fire to give light in the night." O God, layer clouds over those things in which we wrestle; light a fire in this darkness in which we live.
