Acts 21:40 "God's Will Not My Will" (October 11)

My last printscreen of Paul is kneeling on the beach of Tyre with dear friends, some of which he had known for only a few days.  Isn't the Spirit of God like that? Ever meet someone and it's like you've been united for a long time, not just moments. We partake of the Same Spirit of God and find such a spiritual affinity to Christians.
Same Faith.
Same Hope.
Same Love.
Same Heaven.
We're going there together.  And maybe their friendship was brief but it was lasting.  Eternal.

New City---Not Welcomed.
And Paul is chained to two soldiers.
His left hand fastened to the right hand of soldier number one; his right hand clamped to the left hand of soldier number two.  So, as Paul steps onto the portico in Acts 21:40, after an angry mob screams for his blood, it's a courageous move from a friend with a Calling and a Mission.

God's Will Be Done.

  1. Praying for you, Bev, to be well. Mary Lou, for your son, and for you to love him like Jesus loves him.
Tonight my daughter and granddaughters are sleeping in my house for the first time. Two years ago I never dreamed this could happen.
God has moved in mighty and mysterious ways. He is at work in our lives, providing for us at the last minute many times, and teaching us to trust Him, believe Him and praise Him.
Looking forward to whatever His plan is for us in our ever changing lives.

  2. What a great praise, Jan! You've been through such a season, so enjoy this evening. Know you will!

Mary Lou, I agree we still pray for the details--just that I need to pray more for bigger things that aren't the pressing day to day stuff more. You testify so beautifully to the fact that God doesn't give up on our prayers in your struggle with your dear son. He continues to work miracles and you give Him much glory!

Paul is so brave and single-purposed. He tries again, though almost killed. Amazing courage. Amazing Grace.
