Psa 46:5 and I Cor 10:31 "Our Earth Gives Way" (August 16)

How often in my day,
do I think about what I'm really doing.
W h a t e v e r  you do  ...
Do A L L to the G L O R Y of God
I Cor 10:31

How often in my day,
All things are lawful but maybe not helpful---
Maybe they just do not build us up.
The bottom line:
"Let no one seek his own good,
but the good of his neighbor."  I Cor 10:23-24
Do A L L to the G L O R Y of God.

Maybe, your earth just gave way this very day.
Mine came a little bit more U N G L U E D.
God is in your Midst ~ Psalm 46:2
God will help you when morning dawns ~Psa 46:5
Do A L L to the G L O R Y of God.

i   W O N D E R
what does that mean for me and for you
this day when our earth waxes and wanes.
I'm holding on to---our God will help us this new dawn.

  2. There are a couple of areas where I need to apply I Cor. 10:23 to, "Everything is permissible - but not everything is beneficial...but not everything is constructive".

May all that I do be for the glory of God.

God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Ps. 46:1. God is in the midst of it all. Ps. 46:5.

Singing praises to God! Ps. 47

  3. If I can still just for a moment and know that He is God...

And do what counts for eternity...do all for His Glory.

So what lasts? What outlives this day's action? Our earth gives way. People perish.

When I examine what counts for the day, what brings glory to our Living God, the law and the promises can be summed up in one word, Love.

Do whatever you do in love and therefore to the glory of God. It's the only thing that counts for eternity. It's what lingers long after the action is forgotten. Loving motives with hearts bent forward, pressing in to tap into the Sources of Love Himself, when there's no more left inside our depleted souls. That's what He's looking for in men and women.

Micah 6:8 (The Message) But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple:
Do what is fair and just to your neighbor,
be compassionate and loyal in your love,
And don't take yourself too seriously—
    take God seriously."

  4. Everything is truly about giving Him the glory. It is essential that people repent and turn their lives to Him, but our primary goal should be that He receives all the glory in all that we do. I fail Him over and over....I do want my life to reflect Him and for Him to receive glory, I want none for myself.

There are numerous times that I have to quote Be still and know that I AM God....that verse truly will quieten the soul and enable His peace to flood my being and my mind will quit churning and cease striving.

Let everything that hath breath, Praise the Lord.

  5. Held on to a New Dawn and God was simply amazing. Last night was rough and I called on Him to help me in this New Dawn. I cannot tell you how our God showed up for me this morning. HE already knew before I even uttered a word and had sent ahead to change things---unbeknowance to me. He has been good to me.
