Read with me cover-to-cover in 2025. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2025 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.

Acts 12:7 "Live in Love Not Loss" (July 2)
Herod kills James and imprisons Peter.  Peter tells his story from behind bars, only wanting God's will.  So much so, Peter could sleep sound in a jail.  The angel had to poke him in the side to wake him up as Peter didn't respond to the angel's voice.  Acts 12:7.  Freed by an angel.  So the escaped Peter goes straight to the house of Mary who was grieving the loss of her child.  Peter wanted them to know what God did...and he moved to another place.  The circumstances did not define Peter's life.  He moves on to love.  My loss does not define me.  Live in love not loss.

John killed, but Peter rescued. When God does wondrous things for us, do we give Him credit? When he doesn't come to our rescue, what do we do with that? Do we still give Him praise? Even in the middle of bad circumstances, dire places in our hearts?
ReplyDeleteThose out to get us cannot stop God's plan, even if those out to get us really do get us. God's Word will continue forever despite His people. Despite my own disobedience, lack of zeal. Deliverance from evil we ask, Lord. And in the process, may God alone be praised.
