Prov 6:21 and John 20:16 "The Living Word Watches Over Me" (June 11)

My son, keep your father's commandment,

and forsake not your mother's teaching.

We are all so needy.  I am at a desperate place.  And this is good.  Trusting in the midst of confusion.  God has me in a tight place.  He is the God of the Tight Places.

With one word, the Resurrected Christ opened Mary's eyes and hearts.  Oh, that I may see the Risen Christ this very day in the midst of my circumstances.

Take Truth.
Proverbs 6:21-22
Bind the truth on your heart always
Tie it around your neck
When you walk, they will lead you;
When you lie down, they will watch over you;
and when you awake, they will talk with you.

Listen to how you talk to yourself.
Pay close attention to what you say "yes" to.
Pay close attention to what you say "no" to.
And you will hear the curvature of your heart.

  1. I love the word picture in Proverbs 6:21,22 of His Word bound upon our hearts, fastened securely around our necks, leading/guiding us as we walk, protecting/watching over us when we sleep and speaking to us daily.

  2. Dear Pearls,
    This morning I read yesterday's posts. A common thread seems to be how God is teaching us all how to trust Him.

    I would like to recommend a book I just finished, RUTHLESS TRUST--THE RAGAMUFFIN'S PATH TO GOD. The author of the book is Brennan Manning.
    In chapter 7 page 86 is the formula:
    "Faith + Hope = Trust."

    In reading this book, I learned a lot about myself and my lack of trust.
    I had forgotten so much I knew as I child. I was born not caring about my needs, I knew I was fed, bathed, and dressed. As a child all my needs were provided. Somewhere along the way, worry and fear crept in. God never changed. He always intended all the best for me. It was I who walked away, thinking I knew better. Now, with my life 1/2 over, I am finally getting a clue! He desires me, He wants to spend time with me, and will provide me with love, fill my heart to overflowing with spiritual food. He will take care of my needs, and many times my wants. I just need to remember the formula: Faith + Hope = Trust.
    I am praying for you, Dear Bev. as you hear your results today. Also for all of us pearls who are searching and walking in faith. We are all tenderly and fiercely loved, desired by the King of Kings.

  3. So glad for your good news, Bev! I'd want to throttle that doctor who scared you, but that's not edifying, is it!

    Been praying for you all this morning, and thanking God for each of you.
