Acts 10:22 "How Do You Roll" (June 29)

Acts 10:22 - Cornelius was spoken well of by a whole nation.  What an admirable, beautiful, generous, humbling thing to have said about you.  No one in the "How Do You Roll" would have guessed that I had any class about me, today.  Oh, to live in wild repentance.  I melted at the sushi bar in the middle of a California roll that cost me $10.  But my ranting on the inside and the words that spilled out had more to do with the unrest in my heart this day from some disturbing news.  God is a prayer away.  May our love run so much deeper for God and man---and then, others will speak well.

  1. What God has called cleansed, no longer consider unholy. God has cleansed us and see us as holy! (Acts 10:15)

Praying for you today Bev. "He knows... where you dwell" Rev.2:13

  2. Praying for you today, Bev. He knows your frame and He knows your heart. May He be the lifter of your head today and may His comfort flow over you like a sweet, peaceful river.

  3. Others may speak well.
    Others may now speak well.
Just because we live a holy life---it may end up like Peter, upside down on a cross. Like my friend Cyd. I am especially disturbed by the bloggers/posts/tweets/ that communicate if we wrap our hearts around God, there will be joy inexpressible. No, there will be joy & struggle, wrestle! Pain! If we are just grateful, or obedient, or you fill in the blank, you may be full of joy but there will always be suffering in this world. I know more rest today than ever yet I wrestle more than ever, too. There are places, deep places, where God so wants to move in me. If we could figure out all this stuff out---how to be holier, how to be less arrogant, how to be committed---most people are doing PENANCE to make up for the evil that lurks within---with a smile on their face. I feel like I am living on another planet sometimes. Yes, I melted in the How Do You Roll Place last night---and there was Grace! I even went back in to ask forgiveness and apologize for walking out on them and I sinned again! God is committed to our holiness and I am ever so grateful to Him!

    Others may NOT speak well.
    Look what happened to Peter.

  5. And I must add---
I am very grateful for every one of you who are taking a hard look at your life and a deep gaze into Love Himself. What I see here as you guys comment is a bevy of real people who are willing to wrestle.
