Rev 2:4 "Abandoned Love" (December 11)

Ephesus,
I see your works and your patient endurance
But I have this against you,
Revelations 2:4
You have abandoned the love you had at first.
Remember therefore from where you have fallen
Repent, and do the works you did at first.

  1. Amen. He who has an ear let him hear.

One Tuesday evening 16 years ago, I sat by myself among thousands in a sanctuary of a church that would five years later become my Church Home. My heart broke open as I remembered my First Love for Jesus and how I had neglected him since I had gotten married (in some 14 years of wilderness walking!) I sang through the tears, and I prayed to come back. as I listened to a storyteller weave beautiful words as a tapestry describing Mary's ponderings as Jesus was born. She read a poem, and she read The Word, and it quickened my heart to life again. That moment was a turning point.

In Christ, each of us are miraculous love stories--how He came again and settled into this wayward heart, and loved it back unto Himself. And I am forever grateful! O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

  2. May we never forget our First Love.

Annette, I'm so grateful that He answered your prayer.

    Have a nice Sunday, Pearls!
    Love,
    Angie

p.s. I feel SO out of touch on here. Something is going on with you, Bev but I don't have a clue. I read a few posts back that you were waiting on some test results. I hope all is well with the rest of you.

  3. May none of us forget our first love. Beautiful testimony, Annette. Thanks for sharing. Oh, may we each one ponder the wonder of our Lord coming to earth so that we might have the opportunity to live with Him forever.

Bev, praying for wisdom and His direction and guidance in the latest wrinkle in your life.
