I Tim 1:16 "Chiefest Sinner of All" (October 22)

Christian tradition says that Paul was beheaded in the mid 60's A.D.  The book of I Timothy was written after 64 A.D. to encourage Timothy how to really live.  Paul knows that he is near death and what does he write to Timothy in I Tim 1:15 but that Christ came to save sinners and he was the chiefest sinner of all. Paul sees his own heart and it's the end of his life and maturity---he sees how far off he really is.  Paul says God had mercy on him.  The King of Ages.  Immortal.  Invisible.  The Only God.  Have mercy on all of us, O God. I pray for my friends I Tim 2:2 that they live a peaceful and quiet life.

  1. "I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2(A) for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and(B) dignified in every way. 3This is good, and(C) it is pleasing in the sight of(D) God our Savior, 4who desires(E) all people to be saved and(F) to come to(G) the knowledge of the truth."

Who needs prayer in your families today? Can we lift up family today who still need the saving Grace of our Lord? Is there any more urgent prayer?

Father, I pray for our families to know You, to really know You, walk with You and serve You, Lord. It is a prayer You honor, so we pray with confidence that You will bring loved ones to Your Feet and turn their hearts toward You. You know my list well. I pray for my children, my children's children that they may humble themselves before You as their Lord of their heart. And Lord, grow my own heart to serve you better, to pray more as Your instrument, to honorably carry Your Name, which is above all else, the Saving Name of Jesus. We love You so! Amen.
