John 7 "My Teaching Is Not Mine" (May 21)

The people He created for Himself were thinking about killing Him.  What a betrayal!
John 7:16 - "My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me." You'll know whether the teaching is from God or not.  Many teachers have spoken out since the day He spoke these words.  They have taught the Will of God.  And because of that, we know!  We know Him, His Words.  Not on my own authority, but on the Authority of the Author of our faith.

  1. It's late. I'm exhausted. We'll get up early in the morning to drive to Pine Cove in East Texas. Bob is already in Dallas. Britt can help me drive so I'll be okay. I've not made it to bed before 1am the past three nights, only to wake up at 6am each day. Not right to get such little sleep. I've sruggled more than usual with being irritated with those not moving fast enough for me. My job has been stressful finishing up the school year today. Need to give something up. Pray for God's grace over us, please. And for physical rest...I'll have to drive over 8 hours tomorrow, mostly by myself. Grateful that it will be in the daytime. Will think about each of you and pray for you.

  2. I will pray for you to stay awake. God has protected us so far on our travels. Mike drove on the wrong side of the road 3 times, once on the freeway. He is watching over us. Yesterday I was so tired I dozed in the car, Mike was driving to London, he dozed off. I woke up when we were driving about 20 on the freeway, thankfully, we were safe, I woke him up in time. Going home to my girls today, can't wait to see them, thanks for your prayers.

  3. Bev, take advantage of your time while driving. It is one of my favorite things to do. Listen to some good music and enjoy your time with Britt! Those times are precious.

Jan, oh my gosh... That must have been scary!

I'm praying hard for you, Deb!

Praying for all of us to get some Peace and rest...
    In Him,
    Angie

  5. Britt drove all the way to Pine Cove so that was good for me. We had THE BEST time. I had him all to myself for 5 hours with no cell phone, no facebook, no sleeping oooohhh...it was the best road trip ever! Britt slept through Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break...but he's AWAKE now and doing well physically. And so excited about what God is going to do this summer at Pine Cove. We talked non-stop for 5 hours. Rare and wonderful and I'm so grateful to God! Then I drove to Dallas and broke down in Canton---yikes. Transmission problems---car dies on freeway while driving. Long story---God got me here to Dallas. Will try to make it back to Austin tomorrow----pray I don't get stuck. Wow, Jan, that was some story and your angels were surrounding you! Good night all and I am so happy from today to hear my boy's heart. Great day!
