and I asked this question of the God we adore:
Who am I, O Lord God, that you have brought me this far?
I Chron 17:16
I so want things to be different than they are.
I've hit a place I never expected to be.
As I sat and listened to the God Who creates out of nothing,
I heard t.h.i.s.
Hope in me, not the change in circumstance.
Live in the Mystery of My Metallic Love.
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually.
I Chron 16:11
Not His Hand.
His Face.
He understands.
He understands.
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Psalm 105:4 ~ Seek the Lord and His Strength. Seek His Face.
Psalm 27:8 ~ My heart says of you, Seek His Face!
Then, Your Face will I seek. All we have is this moment.
This new day. This new year. Let's start over again and never stop loving You.
No matter what pain, no matter what gain.
Psalm 24:6 ~ Such is ... the generation of those who seek Him.
So grateful to have heart friends who understand in the midst of all that blows our way.
OVERVIEW: I Chronicles 15-17

One of the things that jumped out at me today was from chapter 17,
ReplyDeleteDavid had a pure heart and wanted to build a temple for the Lord, Nathan said do all that is your heart for God is with you. However that is not what the Lord wanted which shows us once again, we must pray about everything.
That phrase caused me to pause and think, too. "Seek the Lord's Face." I thought how personal that is to look into Eyes, to unmask the many faces we put before others and simply look up into His radiant Face. He knows. Words are optional. We worship Him in majesty and strength, but what we need is His gaze back into our unveiled face, to know He cares, He sees.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Psalm of Thanksgiving in today's selection!
Blessed be the God of Israel (and Annette) from everlasting even to everlasting."
Chapter 16:11----"Seek the Lord and His strength;Seek His face continually"......to me that says not once a day but continually all day and night! When we practice the presence of God and are aware of Him all day long and into the night, I think me truly might be seeking His face and not His hand. Though at times we would ask of something that would require His hand. Just a thought...Yes, I agree Annette...verses 8-36 are a beautiful Psalm of Thanksgiving. Just beautiful.
