This undertaking...
He did it for the glory and honour of God;
this was his highest and ultimate end in it.
It was for the name of the Lord God of Israel (v. 10),
The God of Israel is a being of incomparable perfection.
He is, and will be, true to every word that he has spoken;
He, and he only, knows the hearts of the children of men.
On this Mother's Day, I am very grateful for that!

ReplyDeleteSolomon was so close to the LORD during his life until he served himself and other gods. If we fall into idolatry, it not only affects us, it affects our loved ones as well.
Please reveal anything that is not of You in our lives LORD so we may pluck it out by the very root and cast it into the sea.
