"Hold Fast" 2 Chronicles 30-31; John 18:1-18

Here's a man who "held fast to the Lord."  What does that mean to you, to me?  Hold fast.  "And the Lord was with him, wherever he went out, he prospered."  2 Kings 18:6-7.

Hezekiah started his reign awful young, at 25.  Yet he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord according to all that his father David had done.  None like him among all the kings of Judah, before or after.

What did this king know about following God that most people don't know.
Two things he knew:
1. The Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him. 2 Chron 30:9
2. The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord. 2 Chron 30:12

This is our God.
He will guide us.
We will tell the next generation.
This is our God.
Psalm 48:18

May the good Lord pardon everyone who sets his heart to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers.  2 Chron 30:19.  Oh God, please forgive us!  Pardon our ways of not remembering You in all we do.
