Hebrews 13:6 “I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we can confidently say,
The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. Heb 13:18
May the God of peace, the Great Shepherd of the Sheep, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
My soul continually remembers my afflictions and my wanderings!
Lam. 3:20
My soul is bowed down within me.
But t.h.i.s.
I call to mind and therfore I have hope:
The Steadfast Love of the LORD never ceases.
His Mercies never come to an end
They are new every morning.
It is good that one should wait quietly ~ Lam 3:26
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him ~ Lam 3:25
Sit alone in silence when it is laid on you ~ Lam 3:28
Be filled with insults ~ Lam 3:30
There may yet still be hope ~ Lam 3:29
My eyes flow with tears, no constraints
Until the LORD of Heaven sees and knows.
"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
ReplyDeleteThese verses you wrote speak to me, Bev. So many verses in today's reading that minister so sweetly...
I think you know Pastor Steve Seelig from 2nd Baptist, Bev? He is very sick and ministers each day on Facebook with hymn selections that come to life with new meaning in the context of all that he is facing with a terminal brain tumor.
It reminds me of Amy Carmichael's letters from her sick bed. He doesn't feel abandoned but all the closer in his hour of need. He doesn't feel picked on by God, but has this Hope that transcends tears, that carries weary souls.
Sing with Pastor Steve this morning:
I Need Thee Every Hour
and
There is a Redeemer
There is a redeemer,
Jesus, God's own Son,
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One,
Jesus my redeemer, Name above all names,
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,Oh, for sinners slain.
Thank you oh my father, For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit, 'Til the work on Earth is done.
When I stand in Glory,
I will see His face, And there I'll serve my King forever,
In that Holy Place.
Thank you oh my father, For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit, 'Til the work on Earth is done.
There is a redeemer, Jesus, God's own Son
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, Holy One,
Thank you oh my father, For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit, 'Till the work on Earth is done.
Please pray with me for Pastor Steve this morning.
Love!!!
