Seek Mercy from the God of Heaven.
Their lives were in danger---a rather stark, dark problem!
We all find ourselves in dark places.
Are we pushing hard, in , up, to Him
What default do we go to? People and Plans...
Seek Mercy from the God of Heaven. Daniel 2:18
We are Servants of God
for the faith of His People
and for their Knowledge of Truth
that leads to Godliness.
Ours and theirs. Titus 1:1
Seek Mercy, servants!
God seeks space to enter.
Will He find space in our hearts?
What have we filled in the space in our hearts.
True abandonment pleads Mercy!
Lives in danger brings us to this place.
An imperceptible inner Strength, His Mercy!
Come LORD Jesus. Have Mercy on us!
Mercy may be my most gut-wrenching prayer. I pray it often. Painfully aware of my own unbelief, I question motives, and accept little at face value. As the Scripture in Titus states (Titus 1:15-16), unbelief leads to disobedience and makes people unfit for good.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Paul is talking about believers here, but there are rebellious places still in my heart that need purging.
Make our hearts pure, Lord. Prepare our souls to serve more sweetly, to be godly ambassadors of Your Son. Help us to abandon selfish and self-centered motives and focus on the Joy before us, the Pure Love of Christ. Have mercy on us, sinners saved by Grace. Amen.
