Read with me cover-to-cover in 2026. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2026 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.

Acts 5:29 "Failing Forward" (June 21)
Acts 5:29 ~ "We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree...we are witnesses." Wait! Last week they were witnesses of Jesus being scourged and they remained silent. What have these disciples found to make them so bold this week? Failing Forward. Change is not what I expect. Sow your seed in the morning for you don't know what will take place today. Sometimes I know something this moment that I didn't know a moment ago or a month ago. Our God is moving in our lives and we will fall forward. So, Acts 5:41 ~ The disciples were beaten for sharing the Gospel. They left rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for His Name. If I was beaten up, would I be whining or worshipping? May we fail forward.

So much of today;s reading spoke to me, I suppose what impressed my heart the most is: But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.
ReplyDelete"And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ."
ReplyDeleteI'm so very thankful that these men shared the gospel of Jesus Christ in spite of the danger.
Bold men of faith.
Thanking God for men today (and women) who stand up and preach the Good News.
May God bless them with souls saved and lives snatched from the fires of eternity.
