Luke 6 "Your Servant Listens" (April 1)

Luke 6:27 - Am I listening to my Lord?
Speak, God, for your servant listens. I Sam 3:9-10.
And for places where we have forgotten Jer 3:22
we come once again to hear.

And this is what He says to those who hear:

Love your Enemies,
Do Good,
Lend,
And you will be daughters of the Most High.

Judge Not
Forgive
Give
Expecting nothing in return.

Luke 6:45 Out of the good treasure of your heart, you produce good.
Luke 6:46 Do I call Him my LORD, my LORD and not do what He tells me?

We hear your words for You have spoken them to us.
Therefore we go to live this day,
and whatever is not of the Attitude of our Christ, Phil 3:15

You will reveal what we forget, where we fail, where we faint---
and by Your Power, we will change it.
What Energy is most alive in me this day?  Col 1:29

Thank You for speaking.  We hear You, Oh LORD!
By Your Incomparable Great Power, change us today.

  1. So sorry. I had it scheduled on automatic post at midnight just like every night but for some reason, it didn't post.

I'm in Fort Worth tonight. Brought Britt to the Passion Conference. Celebrating my d-i-l's birthday at their home.

This past week has been more difficult than I can say. I'm struggling but standing. Weeping but with my hand on the plow moving falling forward. I don't know what's next for us. You cannot compare your suffering to someone else's suffering. All I know is that where I sit this night is more than I can handle and He has promised to do more than I ever can. So I wait and wonder and welcome a very Good God in the midst of this present darkness. Appreciate your praying for me and my family. My humble thanks. Bev

  2. PS - It was 2 years ago today that I was diagnosed with cancer. Praise God for rescuing me once again on this journey home. We are all wayward homeless headed for the Promised Land. Fixing our Eyes on Him not on our circumstances.

  3. We celebrated with my friend, Jan, last evening her 9th anniversary of hearing the dreaded news, "Breast cancer..." I shared tears with her then, and I shared tears with her last night. He delivers so sweetly. She's turned her life toward new purpose in raising funds for cancer research. No one fights harder for the cure than one who has walked in those shoes. Bev, I celebrate with you deliverance and healing this day. We do not know the suffering that you have endured, and I long for the day I celebrate 9 years with you, 19 years, 29 years of his faithfulness. Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. His mercy is so much greater. Hold on, my dear friend.

  4. Bev, just read your blog that you posted yesterday...left a comment...everyone needs to read it and praise God for the words you wrote and ask Him to show them the God you are talking about, that has showed Himself to you. You truly are His servant and my dear girl you are listening and listening hard.

My young friend went home from the hospital yesterday...said her nurse let her sleep the night before and that had helped tremendously and the pain was bad but manageable and you know they can not give her very much because of the precious life she carries within her...How I did a praise dance for her....however, I did catch myself short and ask myself, would we have done a praise dance and been so grateful, had precious Drew died while she was under for the surgery or if something had happened to both of them. IF that had happened....He would still be a good God and in control. He saw fit to answer as He did all of the prayers (and there have been many) offered up for this young woman and her unborn child that she desires so much.
I am with Annette...I pray that we can celebrate in victory many more April 1st with you and look back and see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. That verse grabbed me two years ago when He gave it to you and I am reading it every night before I go to bed now....Blessings...may He show up all over the place for you this week end..may you have a great worship time...Love you..
