Mark 12:27 "Do I Know the Power of God?" (March 10)

Mark 12:24 - Jesus said to the Saducees who didn't believe in the Resurrection, "Is this not the reason you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?"
This.I.must.ask.

Do I know the Scriptures for my life this day?
Do I know the very Power of my Living God?
Do I know the Living Word invading my thoughts, my turns, my tears, my trials, my ...

Praying.  Thinking.
Asking.  Wondering.
if maybe the reason why I am "missing" my loved one in how I view a current family situation is because I don't know the power of God in that place.

Mark 12:27  God is not God of the dead, but of the living.
Am I truly living in my troubles?
What is most alive in me?

Personally in my own life and collectively as churches, cities, countries--this is why we err. Even when we know Scripture and choose not to obey, we deny His power and how serious He is when He has told us how to conduct our lives.

We act out of our belief system, so when we get angry we are telling God we believe our meanness is more powerful than His Love. When we fear, we are saying we have no faith that God is bigger than the situation we are facing. When we think we accomplished something in our own power, we deny God's power to work through us. It all comes down to giving God what is God's in the first place. Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's. Render unto God that which is God's. For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever.
